On behalf of the Meghalaya State Commission for Women, I express my gratitude to
the Government of Meghalaya for its support and understanding.
I also express my gratitude to Smti. Wansuk Syiem, Member, National Commission
for Women for her help and cooperation in conducting different programmes of the
Commission.
I am also grateful to the Social Welfare Department of Meghalaya for its help
and generosity extended to the Commission.
I hope the State Government will understand the nature and degree of crimes
against women in Meghalaya and help policy makers in framing appropriate
policies and programmes for protecting the rights and interest of women of this
state.
